My name is Merya Khenich, I am a interior designer student, passionate about architecture, interior design and the heritage of my native region, Tozeur, in the south of Tunisia.
My career has allowed me to develop a particular sensitivity to the relationship between space, memory, and identity. I deeply believe that places have a soul, and that the role of design is to reveal it, preserve it, and make it evolve.
Through my projects, I seek to build bridges between tradition and modernity. I explore how artisanal skills and local materials can be reinterpreted in a contemporary language.
I draw a lot of inspiration from my surroundings, the desert light, the forms of vernacular architecture, and the human richness of my region. My creations are always designed with ecological awareness and a deep respect for the local context.
