Notes
Where absence becomes presence, and where wood gently restores stone, the project envisions a chapel that shelters the ruins, honors memory, and celebrates quiet resilience.
Rooted in the site’s history, the proposal follows the traces of the original 1420 chapel, later rebuilt in the 19th century and lost again to fire in 2018. Today, these layers of time guide a sensitive intervention that reconnects past and present through a restrained and meaningful architectural gesture.
