Silent Retreat is a conceptual mountain dwelling designed as a place of disconnection and introspection, located at the edge of a remote fjord landscape.

The project explores the relationship between architecture and atmosphere, where the built form blends subtly into its surroundings through materiality, scale, and light. The use of exposed concrete and natural wood creates a balance between permanence and warmth, allowing the space to feel both grounded and intimate.

The images are conceived as a continuous visual narrative, moving from the vastness of the landscape to moments of human presence. This contrast emphasizes the dialogue between nature’s magnitude and the quiet rituals of everyday life.

Lighting plays a central role in defining the mood. Soft, diffused daylight combined with warm interior tones enhances the sense of shelter, creating a calm and contemplative atmosphere.

This project is a personal exploration of photorealism and storytelling in architectural visualization, focused on achieving a cinematic and emotionally driven visual language.
