This top-down visualisation takes an abstract, graphic approach to architectural rendering. The composition relies on the stark contrast between harsh sunlight and the intricate shadows cast by off-screen foliage and architectural elements. My goal was to highlight the subtle imperfections of the concrete floor and the organic curves of the wooden chairs against the rigid, linear shadows. The scene was modelled in 3ds Max and rendered entirely in Chaos Vantage. Vantage's real-time ray tracing allowed for instant, precise adjustments to the sun angle and shadow sharpness, which were critical for achieving this specific minimalist mood.
