Notes
77MiMo Miami, Florida
77 MiMO is a boutique luxury townhouse development inspired by Miami’s historic MiMo architecture, designed as a small, design-driven residential project in the Little River / Upper Eastside area. The residences unfold across four levels where light, space, and circulation move naturally. A home designed with intention, openness, and clarity.
At Metrica Visuals, our approach to the visual narrative followed the same philosophy. Rather than relying on the typical bright, saturated imagery often associated with Miami, we chose a more restrained atmosphere — one that would allow the architecture to take center stage.
From the beginning, the client embraced the idea of exploring a different visual tone. We worked with an overcast mood, carefully positioning light and sun to emphasize materiality, proportions, and spatial relationships. This approach allowed us to highlight the architecture with precision while subtly suggesting the lifestyle that will unfold within it.
The visual story was constructed through a series of composed moments that move between interior and exterior, capturing the balance between the project’s mid-century influences and a contemporary, slower rhythm of living.
Technically, the project was developed using Autodesk 3ds Max and Chaos Corona Renderer, with Forest Pack used to build the surrounding landscape. Our workflow prioritized complete control of the atmosphere, combining overcast HDRI skies with carefully directed sunlight to guide the viewer’s attention.
Final image and film adjustments were developed through the Corona Frame Buffer, and the sequence was then brought into DaVinci Resolve for final color grading, where the tone and visual identity of the piece were fully refined.
The result is a series of images and moving frames that aim not only to represent the building, but to express its atmosphere — allowing the architecture to speak with clarity and precision.
